Department of Agriculture and Food WA (DAFWA)

Situation:
The Department of Agriculture and Food Western Australia (DAFWA) departed from the Office of Shared Services in August 2013. After this all Finance, Procurement, Asset Management and Corporate Card Acquittal functions were performed in the new DAFWA Financial Management Information System (FMIS) using Oracle E-Business Suite R12.

The company implementing E–Business R12 for DAFWA to roll-out from the WA Government’s Shared Service Centre went into receivership, nine months after DAFWA’s go live. Subsequent, independent audits identified that a number of significant issues required remediation and resulted in the FMIS Architecture Review undertaken by LiTech Systems. Following this review, LiTech Systems was engaged to provide both support and resolution for many of the key issues identified during the review.

Work performed by the team:
LiTech Systems was responsible for investigating, developing and correcting issues identified during the review process as well as assisting to resolve ongoing support issues. Develop custom BAS and enhanced Tax Register reports to cater for the varied examples of user-entered data identified during their development. Reconciled custom reports to standard trial balance and tax register reports. Develop complex, highly configurable, AME solution to provide Expense Claim, Invoice and Requisition Approval processes across DAFWA

Value delivered to the client:
The client had an urgent requirement for the remediation of a number of items, which were causing critical issues within their E-Business environment. LiTech Systems successfully delivered these items as well as further significant enhancements thereby providing the client with a stable and improved system.
